The ORIGEM Yearbook stablished in 2019 an annual poll to elect the most admired professionals of the  Government and Institutional Relations (GIR) according to the nomination of their peers.

In 2022, the ORIGEM Yearbook will indicate the most admired professionals of GIR area in Brazil in three different categories.

15 of the most admired GIR professionals from Brazil with operations in companies (in house) by their peers will be acknowledged ; five GIR professional from Brazil with operations in associations or third sector entities; and also five most admired GIR professionals by their peers with operations in specialized consulting companies and law firms in Brazil.

From this year own, the ORIGEM Yearbook will also acknowledge the most admired GIR professionals from different countries of Latin America. The three most nominated names by their peers in markets from Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, Colombia, Chile and Mexico can be awarded. To be able to participate in the award, each of these markers must reach a minimum number of participants, as indicated in the topic “ From the categories LATIN AMERICA, below.

The poll for the most admired of ORIGEM Yearbook will be held during the survey process for the 2022 edition, via the online survey platform Survey Monkey.

 

About the participation in the poll

1. The participation in the poll is free and spontaneous to all GIR qualified professionals to represent the Yearbook, according to the pre established criteria by the editorial: GIR professionals of managing level or higher in companies, partners of the GIR area of law firms, partners and directors of consulting companies specialized in GIR, GIR professionals of managing level or higher and presidents of class associations and institutions of the third sector.
2. In case of professionals of consulting companies and law firms, from both Compliance and Privacy and Protection of Personal Data, the participation is limited to five professionals by company. The first five ones to answer the survey will be considered.

 

About the categories BRAZIL

3. The choice of 15 most admired professionals in the category companies (in house) will be held via nominations of all qualified GIR professionals to participate in the ORIGEM 2022 Yearbook survey.

The ones that can be nominated in this category are professionals of managing level or higher that act directly in the GIR area of private companies, of mixed economy or public companies under private law. GIR professionals with action in class associations, entities of the third sector, law firms and specialized consulting companies must be nominated only in their respective categories. Votes for professionals outside their respective categories will be annulled.

By nominating peers, GIR professionals must take into consideration their professional record, accomplishments and recent achievements of the professional for the company and the sector they work for, besides their contribution to the development of the GIR area in Brazil. Participants of the survey cannot vote on themselves or professionals that act in the same company they work for. Such votes will be annulled.

4. The choice of the top five most admired professionals in the category class associations and entities of the third sector, will also be made via nominations of all GIR professional qualified to participate in the 2022 ORIGEM Yearbook survey.

            Professionals of managing level or higher that act directly in the GIR area of class associations and entities of the third sector (even if directly connected to some company) can be nominated. GIR professionals with action in companies, law firms ad specialized consulting companies must be nominated only in their respective categories. Votes for professionals outside their respective categories will be annulled.

When nominating, GIR professionals must also take into consideration their professional record, accomplishments and recent achievements of the professional in the area of action of association or entity they work for, besides their contribution to the development of the GIR area in Brazil. Participants of the survey cannot vote on themselves or professionals that act in the same company they work for. Such votes will be annulled.

5. The chores of five most admired professionals in the category specialized consulting companies and law firms will be exclusively carried out by nominations of GIR professionals with action in companies, associations and entities of the third sector qualified to participate in the 2022 ORIGEM Yearbook survey.

GIR professionals with action in companies, law firms ad specialized consulting companies must be nominated only in their respective categories. Votes for professionals outside their respective categories will be annulled.

Of the process of voting

6. Voting will be open for the same time período that the research is being conducted. In 2022, the initial deadline will be April 26th to July 3rd 2022, and this deadline can be extended by the editorial of ORIGEM Yearbook, that will communicate the change in its website and the survey page itself.
7. To have the choice of the GIR most admired professionals of Brazil in 2022, in three different categories, the participants qualified in the survey will be invited to nominate UP TO THREE NAMES of professionals with outstanding action in the GIR area of each of the categories they are eligible to vote.

Of vote counting and announcement of the winner of the BRAZIL categories 

8. In all three categories, the most admired will be the ones that have the highest number of valid nominations. The editorial of the ORIGEM Yearbook reserves the right of not considering the votes of professionals that do not meet the criteria of qualification for the survey, as well as disregarding votes given to professionals that do not meet the participation criteria.

9. The voting counting will taken into consideration the name of the professional and not the organization they work for. Therefore, if the professional is mentioned by two different organizations (the current one and the one they previously worked for), both votes will be considered. Eventual spelling mistakes of the name (swapping letters for example) will not be an issue to consider the vote valid.
10. In the case of professionals that, by any reason, have answered the survey and voted more than once, only one vote will be considered, the one from the most recent survey.
11. In case of a tie, which makes the numbers of nominees surpass the total stipulated for each category, the tie-breaking criterion will be the name that has the highest number of mentions. If there is still a tie, the one that has the highest number of mentions in the second position will be considered, and, if it is the case, the third position will be considered.

12. To be eligible to be among the MOST ADMIRED GIR PROFESSIONALS OF THE ORIGEM YEARBOOK, the nominees must meet the same criteria used to qualify the participation of the survey in their respective category of action.

13. The name of the most admired professionals will be presented in alphabetical order, not having their ranking of position displayed.

14. The most admired professionals will be the highlight in the ORIGEM YEARBOOK issue figuring in the special section dedicated to displaying the nominated professionals to the market.

15. In all categories, a maximum number of three professionals of the same company will be displayed listed among the Most Admired, always considering the three most voted among them.

16. The voting process and its results will be checked and validated by an independent auditing company.

17. The professionals nominated as the most admired will be contacted by the editorial of ORIGEM YEARBOOK and must, within the established deadline, accept the award and forward the necessary information. Not accepting the nomination may lead to the disqualification of the professional by the organization, that will nominate as the most admired the not ranked professional with the most votes.

Of the LATIN AMERICA categories

18. In 2022, the ORIGEM YEARBOOK expands its frontiers and now covers six new Latin American markets: Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, Chile, Colombia and Mexico.
19. All GIR professionals of the respective countries can participate in the poll, once they meet the criteria established by the editorial of ORIGEM YEARBOOK, which are: GIR professionals of a managing level or higher in companies, partners of the GIR area of law firms, partners and directors of specialized consulting companies, GIR professionals of managing level or higher and presidents of class associations and institutions of the third sector active in the respective country.
20. All countries that have a minimum of 50 valid participants in the 2022 ORIGEM YEARBOOK will be automatically qualified for the award.
21. When hitting the minimum votes, the country is qualified to have its three most nominated professionals in the survey carried out with the GIR leadership of the respective country, acknowledge as the most admired ones.
22. The award of professionals of qualified Latin American countries will not be differentiated in professional categories, so professionals acting in the GIR area off all segments of the market covered by the 2022 ORIGEM YEARBOOK are able to be nominated and awarded.
23. Besides the trophy and acknowledgement, the professionals of these countries will be prominently displayed in the special section of the ORIGEM YEARBOOK dedicated to presenting the most admired professionals of the market.
24. In case of a tie, which makes the number of nominees exceed the total stipulated to each category, the tie-breaking criterion will be the name that has the highest number of mentions in the first position. If there is still a tie, the one with the highest number of mentions in the second place will be considered, and if there is still a tie, in the third place.

Of organization and the award event

25. The final announcement of THE MOST ADMIRED GIR PROFESSIONALS IN BRAZIL AND LATIN AMERICA and the awarding of trophies will be done during the event of launching of the 2022 ORIGEM YEARBOOK.
26. Nomination are free of charge for the most admired professionals. Expenses with traveling (including airfare) and accommodation are of responsibility of nominees.
27. All issues that are not foreseen in this regulation will be dealt by the organizing committee of ORIGEM YEARBOOK, encompassing the editorial team and co-directors Consul-Master, LEC – Legal, Ethics, Compliance, and VITTORE Partners..
